Ofuobi Women of Enugu State is a group of Washington DC - based women, committed to improving the lives of the people both here in America and in Enugu State, Nigeria.

We are a private, not-for-profit (501 C3) organization whose members are motivated by the conviction that poverty is a sad fact of life for the majority of people and wish to join our hands with governments and other like minded organizations to help our brothers and sisters live a better life.

Who We Are:

• Born out of a vision to make a positive difference to improve the lives of the under-served and under privileged in our communities both here in the USA and in Enugu State, Nigeria, a group of Washington DC. based women from Enugu State, Nigeria (by birth, adoption, marriage or naturalization) came together to form the Ofuobi Women of Enugu State, Washington DC, Inc

• Organizational Status: 501 c3* (Public Charity); 47-1985777
• Date of incorporation: 2004
• Obtained 501c 3 in 2014
• * 501c3 – non profit organization; donations are tax deductible

Unemployment is rife with many individuals and families turning to fraud and crime as a means to survival; the consequences of these, particularly on our youths, portend a grave danger to the future of the Enugu State.

We, therefore, wish to join hands with other like-minded organizations, both home and abroad to help the under privileged in our communities in order that they may experience a better life.
